(UNDATED) - The Fighting Irish of Notre Dame and the Purdue Boilermakers are in the top ten of the preseason ESPN/USA Today men’s college basketball coaches’ poll.
The Irish debut at number nine in the inaugural coaches' poll, their highest preseason ranking since the poll began in 1991. Notre Dame opens its exhibition schedule tonight when they host Briar Cliff.
The Boilers are ranked tenth in the poll, their highest preseason ranking since 1997. Purdue also opens its exhibition schedule tonight as Florida Southern comes to Mackey Arena.
