Colts Trade For Defensive Tackle, Waive Ramsey

Last updated on Wednesday, October 15, 2008

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Indianapolis Colts are back on the practice field today as they begin preparing for Sunday’s game against the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field.

The Colts are over .500 for the first time this season after pounding the Baltimore Ravens 31-3 last Sunday at Lucas Oil Stadium. The Packers are 3-and-3 following a win last weekend at Seattle.

Colts Acquire DT From Bills

The Colts made a deal at Tuesday's NFL trade deadline, acquiring defensive tackle John McCargo from the Buffalo Bills. The Colts sent an undisclosed draft pick to the Bills.

McCargo was a first-round draft pick by the Bills in 2006, going number-26 overall. He played collegiately at North Carolina State, teaming with 2006 number-one overall draft pick Mario Williams on the Wolfpack defensive line.

To make room for McCargo on the roster, the Colts waived defensive tackle Lajuan Ramsey.
