Beat Up Pacers Squad Returns To Fieldhouse

Last updated on Wednesday, October 15, 2008

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Indiana Pacers are back home as they face the Dallas Mavericks in a preseason game tonight at Conseco Fieldhouse.

While it is Indiana's third home game of the preseason, it is their first at the Fieldhouse as they lost to New Orleans in the opener at the Pepsi Coliseum and beat Chicago at Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne.

Tonight's game will mark the return of Shawne Williams to Conseco Fieldhouse. Williams was traded to the Mavs last Friday for Eddie Jones and a pair of draft picks. Jones has yet to report to the Pacers and the 14-year veteran could be contemplating retirement.

The Pacers spent yesterday going over video of Monday's loss at Memphis followed by light drills. Head Coach Jim O'Brien did not hold a full practice because he didn't have enough players.

Nine Pacers have various injuries and illnesses. Marquis Daniels, Troy Murphy and Travis Diener will definitely miss tonight's game with Dallas.

Danny Granger, Mike Dunleavy, Maceo Baston and Austin Croshere are day-to-day while Josh Davis and Stephen Graham have minor injuries and are expected to be available tonight.

Tune in tonight starting at 7:00pm (following the Bret Szabo show) for Pacers basketball action live from Conseco Fieldhouse on 1340 AM WBIW.
