Beat Up Colts Squad Returns To Practice Field

Last updated on Thursday, October 30, 2008

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - With only one day between their Monday Night Football game and their return to the practice field, the Indianapolis Colts’ injury report is unusually heavy with those who did not participate in practice on Wednesday.

The list is notable for three names that are not on it - defensive backs Bob Sanders and Kelvin Hayden and running back Joseph Addai. All three starters practiced fully yesterday after missing multiple games due to injury.

Head Coach Tony Dungy expects all three to play in Sunday night's game with the New England Patriots at Lucas Oil Stadium, but noted that he expects Melvin Bullitt, Sanders backup, and Dominic Rhodes, Addai's backup, to see extensive action against the Patriots.

Among those who missed Wednesday's practice due to injury are running backs Rhodes and Clifton Dawson, wide receivers Reggie Wayne and Roy Hall, defensive backs Dante Hughes and Marlin Jackson and tight end Tom Santi.

Linebacker Gary Brackett and defensive ends Dwight Freeney and Robert Mathis were given the practice off to rest and linebacker Freddy Keiaho practiced on a limited basis with a knee injury.
