Purdue's Tiller Looks To Break School Record

Last updated on Thursday, September 11, 2008

(WEST LAFAYETTE, IN) - Purdue football coach Joe Tiller will break Jack Mollenkopf’s school record for wins if the Boilermakers can pull off an upset of number-14 Oregon Saturday at Ross-Ade Stadium.

Tiller is 85-and-54 one game into his twelfth and final season as head coach of the Boilers. Mollenkopf was 84-39-and-9 in 14 seasons at Purdue.

The Boilermakers expect much more of a challenge from the Ducks than they got in their 42-10 victory in last Saturday's opener with northern Colorado. Oregon is 2-and-0 following easy wins over Washington and Utah State.
