(SOUTH BEND, IN) - Notre Dame will honor its 1988 national championship team this weekend.

About 70 members of the team will be on hand when a statue of hall-of-fame Coach Lou Holtz is dedicated on Saturday.

Current Fighting Irish Coach Charlie Weis says Holtz will address the team this week as Notre Dame hosts Michigan.

The Irish were unimpressive in winning their opener against San Diego State 21-13 last Saturday. Michigan has also struggled this season, losing their opener to Utah before beating Miami of Ohio 16-6 last Saturday.
