(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Indianapolis Colts are wrapping up their lone week off during the season and will return to the team’s headquarters today for a light practice.
The Colts worked out twice last week, holding practices on Wednesday and Thursday as they try to find solutions after a 1-and-2 start.
Part of the slow start can be attributed to the loss of several key players during the preseason and the start of the regular season. During the bye week the Colts announced that 2007 defensive player of the year Bob Sanders underwent arthroscopic knee surgery. Sanders suffered a high ankle sprain against Minnesota two weeks ago.
Team president Bill Polian said at the time that if the ankle injury was going to keep Sanders out for a lengthy period of time that they might go ahead and have a "clean-out" scope on one of Sander's knees.
The players will have tomorrow off before returning Wednesday to start preparing for Sunday's game with the Houston Texans. Texans officials said last week that the game will be played at Reliant Stadium, which was damaged by Hurricane Ike two weeks ago.
