Colts, Jags Injury Reports Grow And Grow

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Indianapolis Colts returned to practice Wednesday as they get ready for their first divisional game of the season Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Both teams find themselves looking up at 2-and-0 Tennessee in the standings. The Colts are 1-and-1 following a comeback win last Sunday at Minnesota while the jaguars are 0-and-2 after dropping their opener to the Titans and falling last week to unbeaten Buffalo.

The Colts have won eleven of the 14 previous games in the series and are 6-and-1 against the Jags in Indianapolis.

Colts Injury Report

The Colts' injury report continues to get longer. Wednesday's first report of the week lists ten players as not practicing. Three of those players - Joseph Addai, Dwight Freeney and Tim Jennings - missed practice to get some rest.

The others who sat out practice were defensive linemen Keyunta Dawson and Daniel Muir, offensive linemen Mike Pollak and Tony Ugoh, wide receiver Roy Hall, safety Bob Sanders and tight end Jacob Tamme.

Center Jeff Saturday and tight end Dallas Clark did practice and the Colts hope that two of their key elements on offense can return from knee injuries this week.

Jaguars Injury Report

The Jaguars are also beat up as they opened their week of practice on Wednesday. Running back Maurice Jones-Drew sat out Wednesday's workout with an ankle injury and linebacker Justin Durant sat with a groin injury.

Jacksonville's other top running back, Fred Taylor, was limited in practice with a toe injury. Also participating limitedly in Wednesday's practice were center Brad Meester and guard Chris Naeole.

The Jaguars' two starting guards are already on injured reserve. Also listed as being limited in their participation Wednesday are cornerback Brian Williams and wide receiver Troy Williamson.
