Boilermaker Footballer Rewarded With Special Team Honors

Last updated on Wednesday, September 10, 2008

(WEST LAFAYETTE, IN) - Purdue fullback Frank Halliburton is the Big Ten special teams player of the week.

The senior from Indianapolis made history in the Boilermakers' win over Northern Colorado last Saturday when he blocked two punts in one game. The second blocked punt was returned for a touchdown by Mike Conway.

The two blocks tied the Purdue record for blocked punts in a season set by Todd Stelma in 1998 and equaled by Bernard Pollard in 2004.
