QB Lewis Rejoins Hoosier Squad

Last updated on Tuesday, August 5, 2008

(BLOOMINGTON, IN) - Kellen Lewis made his return to the Indiana University football team as the Hoosiers opened fall practice Monday in Bloomington.

Lewis was suspended by Head Coach Bill Lynch for undisclosed reasons last March and missed all of spring practice.

Ben Chappell directed the Hoosier offense during the spring and will compete with Lewis for the starting quarterback job. The quarterback position will be key for the Hoosiers as Lynch installs a new "no-huddle" attack for the upcoming season.

Indiana opens the regular season on August 30th at home against Western Kentucky.
