(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - NASCAR released the 2009 Sprint Cup schedule and the Allstate 400 at the Brickyard is set for Sunday, July 26th.
As has been the case for the previous four sprint cup races at The Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the 2009 Allstate 400 will be preceded by an open weekend on the schedule.
Following a 2008 event that saw tire problems cause a record 52 caution laps, the Indianapolis Star reports that Goodyear has tentatively scheduled two fall tests at the speedway.
The first is scheduled for September 22nd and 23rd and the other is scheduled for October 6th through the 8th. Dates for both test sessions are subject to change.
