(TOLEDO, OH) - Eddie Bonine threw seven shutout innings as the Toledo Mud Hens shut out the Indianapolis Indians 8-0.
Bonine allowed five hits to improve to 12-and-2 on the season. Clete Thomas hit a two-run triple with Erick Almonte and Mike Holliman hitting run-scoring doubles as the Mud Hens took two of three in the series.
Toledo pounded tribe pitching for 15 hits with starter Mike Thompson taking the loss to fall to 2-and-2.
The Indians and Mud Hens come to Indianapolis to open a three-game weekend series tonight at Victory Field.
