Colts Back In Groove, Practice Held At New Stadium

Last updated on Thursday, August 21, 2008

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Life for the Indianapolis Colts returned to normal Wednesday as they continue to get ready for preseason game number four Sunday night at Lucas Oil Stadium.

The Colts began installing the gameplan for Sunday's contest with the Buffalo Bills as Head Coach Tony Dungy tries to get his team acclimated to the normal weekly schedule they will have during the regular season.

Sunday's game will be far from ordinary as the Colts open their new $720-million-dollar retractable-roof stadium before a national cable audience.

Wednesday's practice marked the first time the Colts had worked out at their Westside Indianapolis headquarters this preseason. They broke camp at Terre Haute last Friday and held Tuesday's practice at Lucas Oil Stadium as they examined their new home for the first time.

Sunday's game will be the last before the first mandatory roster cut as all NFL teams need to be down to 75 players on Tuesday. They will then have another short week as they wind up the preseason at home against the Cincinnati Bengals one week from today.

Rosters will be trimmed to the regular-season limit of 53 players on August 30th, two days after the Cincinnati game.
