(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Jason Davis pitched eight strong innings to lead the Indianapolis Indians past the Charlotte Knights 5-2.
Davis allowed two runs on seven hits over eight innings to improve to 6-and-9. The Tribe scored three runs in the bottom of the first and were never headed.
Andrew McCutchen had an RBI triple with Ryan Mulhern and Luis Ordaz adding run-scoring doubles. Danny Richar drove home both Charlotte runs with a two-run double in the fifth.
Game three of the four-game series is this afternoon at Victory Field.
