Several Pacers Rookies Held Up By NBA Moratorium

Last updated on Friday, July 4, 2008

(INDIANAPOLIS) - One of the complications of the pacers’ draft night deals were the contracts of point guards TJ Ford and Jarrett Jack.

Both have clauses in their contracts that hold up the deal until the signing moratorium ends on July 9th.

The holdup means that the Pacers are holding a rookie camp without their two prized rookies - Brandon Rush and Roy Hibbert. Rush and Hibbert may not be available for next week's Orlando Summer Pro League, which runs from July 7th through the 11th.

The Pacers would also like for recently acquired forward Josh McRoberts to play in the Summer Pro League, but McRoberts' status is also in limbo until July 9th.
