Chiefs Dominate Indians, 14-1

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Syracuse Chiefs scored eleven runs in the top of the second inning to cruise to a 14-1 win over the Indianapolis Indians.

Curtis Thigpen opened the scoring in the big inning with a two-run double off tribe starter Corey Hamman. Hamman was out of the game when Kevin Melillo closed out the scoring in the second with a two-run triple. Hamman gave up nine runs on nine hits over an inning and two-thirds to take the loss.

Nyjer Morgan drove home the lone Indianapolis run with an RBI single in the fifth as the Tribe lost the final three games of the series after winning Friday night's opener.

The Indians hit the road to open a three-game series in Toledo tonight.
