(RICHMOND, VA) - Practice for Saturday night’s Suntrust Indy Challenge at Richmond International Raceway gets underway this afternoon.
The IndyCar Series cars will have two more practice sessions Friday with qualifying on Friday night.
Dario Franchitti won last year's 225-mile race at Richmond. Franchitti has since moved on to NASCAR.
Indianapolis 500 champion Scott Dixon enters Saturday night's race with the points lead. Dixon enters the weekend with a 48-point advantage on Helio Castroneves.
