Rhodes Back On Colts Squad

Last updated on Thursday, May 8, 2008

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Dominic Rhodes is back with the Indianapolis Colts.

The veteran running back signed a one-year deal worth approximately $650,000 dollars.

Rhodes was an integral part of the horseshoes' championship team in 2006, rushing for 113 yards and a touchdown in the Colts' 29-17 win over the Chicago Bears in Super Bowl XLI.

Rhodes split time with rookie Joseph Addai in the 2006 season, starting all 16 regular season games and coming off the bench during the playoffs. He signed with the Oakland Raiders as a free agent shortly after the Colts' Super Bowl win.

His season with the Raiders was frustrating. Rhodes was suspended for the first four games of the regular season for violating the league's substance abuse policy. He finished with 302 yards and a touchdown on 75 carries with the raiders last season.

He was released by Oakland last week, shortly after the Raiders took Arkansas running back Darren McFadden in the NFL Draft.
