Pacers Shopping For Point Guard

Last updated on Friday, May 30, 2008

(ORLANDO, FL) - The NBA pre-draft camp in Orlando winds up today.

Indiana Pacers Coach Jim O'Brien was among those in attendance. The Pacers have the eleventh pick in June's NBA draft and are believed to be in the market for a point guard.

O'brien has publicly questioned Jamaal Tinsley's ability to remain healthy. Tinsley has been hampered by injuries and played in just 39 of the Pacers' 82 games last season.

The point guards who may be available at number eleven include Texas' DJ Augustin and UCLA's Russell Westbrook. Augustin and Westbrook are not participating in the games but are at the camp for skills, strength and medical testing, as is former Indiana University guard Eric Gordon.

Among those participating in the games are former IU players Patrick Ewing Jr. and Robert Vaden as well as Indianapolis natives Stanley Burrell and George Hill.
