Gordon To Announce Future Plans On Friday

Last updated on Friday, April 4, 2008

(BLOOMINGTON, IN) - Indiana University freshman guard Eric Gordon will announce his future plans today.

The 2007 Indiana Mister Basketball out of North Central High School in Indianapolis is expected to turn pro.

Gordon spoke briefly with new IU coach Tom Crean on Wednesday, but Gordon's father tells The Indianapolis Star that Crean's hiring will not affect Gordon's decision.

Gordon led the Big Ten in scoring at 20.9 points per game and is projected as a lottery pick in many mock drafts.

If Gordon leaves, Crean will inherit no starters from this past season's team unless he reinstates sophomore Armon Bassett and junior Jamarcus Ellis, who were kicked off the team earlier this week.
