Purdue Women Take Big Ten Women's Tourney

(INDIANAPOLIS) - Kiki Freeman’s putback of her own miss as time expired gave the Purdue Boilermakers a 58-56 win over Illinois in the championship game of the Big Ten Women’S Basketball Tournament.

Freeman finished with a team-high twelve points as the Boilermakers locked up their 15th-straight trip to the NCAA tournament.

Kalika France finished with eleven points with Danielle Campbell and Keshia Mosley adding ten points apiece as Purdue is Big Ten Tournament champions for the seventh time.

Jenna Smith led ninth-seeded Illinois with 19 points and twelve rebounds as the Illini fell short of becoming the lowest seed to win the Big Ten Tournament.
