Last updated on Thursday, March 20, 2008

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Flip Murray scored 22 points and Troy Murphy added a double-double as the Indiana Pacers beat the Charlotte Bobcats 102-95.

Murphy finished with 18 points and 13 rebounds as the Pacers won their fourth game in a row at home.

Indiana played without leading scorer Danny Granger, who was sidelined with a sprained wrist. The blue-and-gold started the game slowly and trailed by seven at halftime before building a double-digit lead in the second half.

The pacers used a 23-5 run spanning the third and fourth quarters to get the lead up to twelve with ten minutes remaining. The lead would grow to 13 on a couple of occasions before Charlotte made a late run, cutting the lead to one with 1:35 remaining.

The Pacers would hit all six of their free throws while shutting out the Bobcats the rest of the way to pick up the win and improve to 27-and-41.

Jason Richardson led Charlotte with 20 points and ten boards as the Bobcats dropped their fifth-straight game.

The Pacers win combined with New Jersey's victory over Atlanta pulls the Pacers to within two games of the Nets and Hawks for the eighth and final playoff berth in the East.

Indiana wraps up its three-game homestand on Friday against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
