Last updated on Wednesday, March 19, 2008

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Indiana Pacers will try to extend their three-game home winning streak tonight as they host the Charlotte Bobcats.

The Pacers continue to maintain contact with those teams fighting for the final playoff spots in the Eastern Conference as they are three games back in the battle for eighth place.

Their latest victory came on Monday night as the blue-and-gold used a big fourth quarter to put away the new York Knicks 110-98. Mike Dunleavy tied his career high with 36 points, the fourth time he has scored 36 this season.

Charlotte has lost four-straight games to fall two games behind the Pacers in the East. The Bobcats have won both of their previous games with Indiana this season. Both of those games were played in Charlotte.

The Pacers enter play tonight in eleventh place in the Eastern Conference. Atlanta holds onto the eighth and final playoff berth with a one-game lead over New Jersey. The Nets lost last night in Chicago and the Bulls sit in tenth place, two games behind the Hawks and a game ahead of the Pacers.
