(CHAMPAIGN, IL) - The 13th-ranked Indiana Hoosiers survived an upset bid at Illinois, defeating the Illini 83-79 in double-overtime.

Eric Gordon led IU with 19 points despite an off-shooting night. The Big Ten's leading scorer hit just 3-of-13 shots from the field, but one of those was a 25-foot bank shot that tied the game at 63 and forced overtime.

Demetri McCamey led Illinois with a career-high 31 points on 7-of-13 shooting from three-point range, but the Illini missed nine of their 17 free throw attempts in falling to 10-and-14, 2-and-9 in the Big Ten.

Jordan Crawford finished with 18 points with DJ White and Armon Bassett adding 16 apiece for the Hoosiers who improve to 19-and-3, 8-and-1 in Big Ten play.

IU travels to Ohio State on Sunday.
