(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) Speed-TV reports that the IndyCar series and the Champ Car World Series will compete as one entity in 2008.
Earlier reports had the Indy Racing League absorbing Champ Car with three Champ Car races - Long Beach, Edmonton and Surfers Paradise, being added to the IndyCar schedule.
The latest report does not specify how the main sticking point - a conflict between the IndyCar race at Motegi, Japan and the Champ Car race at long Beach, California - has been resolved.
Speed-TV says an official announcement could come as early as tomorrow.
