Last updated on Tuesday, January 1, 2008

(TEMPE, AZ) - Oklahoma State scored on its first five offensive possessions and went on to defeat the Indiana Hoosiers 49-33 in the Insight Bowl.

The Hoosiers scored a field goal on the opening possession, taking their only lead of the game before the Cowboys took command.

Oklahoma State would score on all of their possessions of the first half except for the last one, which ended with an interception by IU's Nick Polk with nine seconds remaining before halftime. The Cowboys would take a 35-10 lead to the locker room at intermission and were never seriously threatened in the second half.

Sophomore quarterback Zac Robinson threw for 302 yards with three touchdown passes and a pair of TD runs to lead Oklahoma State. Freshman Dez Bryant caught two TD passes, finishing with nine receptions for 117 yards. Dantrell savage led Oklahoma State on the ground with 103 yards and a score.

Kellen Lewis was the center of the Indiana offense, throwing for 204 yards and two touchdown passes. Lewis also was IU's leading rusher, gaining 83 yards on ten carries with another TD on the ground.

James Bailey and Marcus Thigpen had touchdown receptions while Josiah Sears scored on a five-yard run as the Hoosiers concluded a tumultuous season marked by the death of Head Coach Terry Hoeppner over the summer and the elevation of Bill Lynch as the permanent head coach.

Both teams finish the season at 7-and-6.
