(SALEM) - The Mitchell Lady Bluejackets fell to the Lions of Salem Thursday night, 53-44.
The matchup was close in the first two quarters with Mitchell leading at the half, 27-24. Salem exited the locker room and dominated the third quarter. The Lions then took that momentum into the fourth quarter to close out the game with a victory.
Amanda Trambaugh led the Bluejackets with 19 points and 12 rebounds.
With the loss, Mitchell falls to 6-6 on the season. The ladies travel next to Seymour to face the Owls on Saturday afternoon.
Earlier in the evening, Salem dominated the junior varsity matchup, taking the Bluejackets with a 51-29 victory.
