(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Jamaal Tinsley says he is sorry.
The Pacers guard spoke to reporters after practice Monday, just a day-and-a-half after a shooting early Sunday outside the Conrad Hotel in Downtown Indianapolis.
Police say a car and a pickup truck followed Tinsley's Rolls-Royce after an argument at the Westside nightclub Cloud 9. The vehicles pulled up at the Conrad, and someone opened up on Tinsley's car with an assault rifle. Pacers equipment manager Joey Qatato was hit in both arms.
Head Coach Jim O'Brien says Tinsley made a bad decision, but didn't violate any team rules and won't be disciplined. O'Brien says he is thankful Tinsley is alive.
