Pacers Struggle In Atlanta

(ATLANTA, GA) - Joe Johnson scored 26 points and had eleven assists as the Atlanta Hawks beat the Indiana Pacers 107-95.

Johnson helped key a 12-0 Atlanta run spanning the third and fourth quarters as the Hawks won their fifth-straight game. It is the first time Atlanta has won five in a row since December of 1999.

Six hawks reached double figures with Josh Smith adding 16 points and Marvin Williams finishing with 14.

Troy Murphy led Indiana with 19 points with Jamaal Tinsley and Jermaine O'Neal adding double-doubles. Both Tinsley and O'Neal finished with 16 points with Tinsley dishing out twelve assists and O'Neal grabbing ten rebounds.

The game was tied at 70 with three minutes remaining in the third when Atlanta went on its run to build an 82-70 advantage. The Pacers went 0-for-7 from the field with six turnovers as the blue-and-gold went scoreless for five minutes and three seconds.

The Pacers fall to 15-and-14 and play a home-and-home series with the Detroit Pistons this weekend. Indiana will face the Pistons Friday night at the Palace of Auburn Hills with a rematch on Saturday night at Conseco Fieldhouse.
