Pacers Burned By Phoenix

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Phoenix Suns finished with an 8-0 run to edge the Indiana Pacers 121-117 Tuesday night at Conseco Fieldhouse.

Amare Stoudamire scored 42 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to lead the Suns. Steve Nash finished with 18 points and 17 assists while nailing a three-pointer with 42 seconds remaining to put Phoenix up for good at 118-117.

Stoudamire added a basket with six-point-five seconds remaining to give the Suns a three-point advantage at 120-117.

Danny Granger had a chance to tie the game but missed a three-pointer. Nash pulled down the rebound, was fouled and hit one of two free throws to provide the final margin. All five starters for the Suns reached double figures.

Jermaine O'Neal scored a season-high 30 points and grabbed eleven rebounds to lead Indiana. Mike Dunleavy added 22 points while Jamaal Tinsley had another big game, finishing with 19 points and twelve assists.

The Suns have won three in a row and five-straight against the Pacers. Indiana falls to 9-and-10. They are off until Friday when the hit the road again to face the Orlando Magic.
