(TERRE HAUTE, IN) - Indiana State University introduced Trent Miles as the school's new football coach on Tuesday.

Miles is a Terre Haute native and a 1987 graduate of Indiana State, playing wide receiver for the Sycamores from 1982 through 1986.

Miles has spent the past three seasons as the running backs coach under Tyrone Willingham at the University of Washington. He had spent three years as the wide receivers coach under Willingham at Notre Dame.

Miles replaces Lou West, who was fired on September 24th and replaced on an interim basis by longtime Sycamores coach Dennis Raetz.
