(DETROIT, MI) - The Butler Bulldogs improved to 8-and-0 with a 53-46 win over the Detroit Titans in the conference opener for both teams.
Freshman Matt Howard, the Horizon League's player of the week, led the 13th-ranked Bulldogs with 20 points and eleven rebounds. Mike Green finished with nine points with AJ Graves and Julian Betko adding eight points apiece as Butler picked up just its third win in the last eleven visits to Calahan Hall.
Jon Goode led the Titans with 21 points as Detroit falls to 4-and-4.
The Bulldogs conclude their two-game road trip Saturday night when they travel to Dayton to face Wright State.
