Pacers Winning Streak Ends

Last updated on Thursday, November 8, 2007

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Indiana Pacers suffered their first loss of the season, falling to the Los Angeles Clippers 104-89.

Sam Cassell led the Clippers with 35 points with Chris Kaman adding 15 points and 22 rebounds.

The Clippers took control of the game in the third quarter, outscoring the Pacers 32-14 in the period. Danny Granger led Indiana with 16 points while Mike Dunleavy added 15 as the Pacers fall to 3-and-1. The Clippers remain unbeaten at 4-and-0.

The Pacers will be without forward-center Ike Diogu for the next four to six weeks. Diogu suffered a torn left calf muscle during the Pacers' practice on Tuesday. He was replaced on Indiana's active roster by second-year forward Shawne Williams for Wednesday night's game with the Clippers.

Williams has served his three-game, team-issued suspension following his September arrest for traffic violations.

The pacers return to action on Friday night when they travel to Charlotte to face the Bobcats.
