Pacers Look To Rebound From Injuries In Preseason Action

Last updated on Monday, October 22, 2007

(MINNEAPOLIS, MN) - The Indiana Pacers will try to snap their first losing streak of the preseason Tuesday night when they face the Minnesota Timberwolves in Minneapolis.

The Pacers opened their exhibition schedule with four-straight wins before losing to the Timberwolves Friday at Conseco Fieldhouse and falling 100-88 to the Chicago Bulls Saturday night at The United Center.

The blue-and-gold were playing their fourth game in six nights on Saturday and the weariness showed as Indiana shot under 40 percent from the field, committed 30 turnovers and was outrebounded for the first time during the preseason.

Jermaine O'Neal, Troy Murphy and Kareem Rush sat out Saturday's game with injuries. O'Neal missed both games over the weekend with swelling after bumping knees with teammate Shawne Williams in practice. O'neal hopes to play tomorrow night in order to stay in game shape.

After Tuesday's game, the Pacers will wrap up their exhibition schedule with a game in Memphis on Friday night.

The regular season opens on October 31st when Indiana welcomes the Washington Wizards to Conseco Fieldhouse.
