Pacers Look To Bounce Back In Preseason Action

Last updated on Tuesday, October 23, 2007

(MINNEAPOLIS, MN) - The Indiana Pacers are in Minneapolis tonight to face the Minnesota Timberwolves in a preseason game.

The Pacers will be without all-star forward Jermaine O'Neal. O'neal missed Indiana's previous two exhibitions with swelling in his left knee.

Head coach Jim O'Brien says forward Shawne Williams will miss tonight's game as well as Friday's preseason finale in Memphis. Williams is being held out as O'Brien looks at rotations for next Wednesday's season-opener against the Washington Wizards.

Williams does not figure in those plans as he has been suspended for the Pacers' first three regular-season games following his arrest and guilty plea for driving without ever having received a license last month.

Indiana won its first four preseason games but has dropped two in a row without O'Neal in the lineup.
