Pacers Keep Preseason Streak Alive

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) The Indiana Pacers improved to 4-and-0 on the preseason, defeating the Memphis Grizzlies 122-115 at Conseco Fieldhouse.

Marquis Daniels led Indiana with 24 points while Jermaine O'Neal added 22 points and a game-high eleven rebounds. Mike Dunleavy, Jamaal Tinsley and Danny Granger also reached double-figures. Dunleavy finished with 16 points, Tinsley had 14 and Granger scored 13.

The Pacers built a 28-point lead midway through the third quarter before Memphis made a comeback, pulling to within five points late in the game.

Rudy Gay led Memphis with 22 points while Mike Conley junior finished with eleven points and a game-high ten assists in his first pro game in his hometown. The Grizzlies fall to 2-and-2 on the preseason.

Wednesday's game was the first of three in four nights for Indiana. The Pacers conclude the home portion of their preseason schedule on Friday night when they host the Minnesota Timberwolves before traveling to Chicago on Saturday night

Head Coach Jim O'Brien says he will selectively rest some of his players during this stretch to keep them fresh.

The preseason concludes with road games at Minnesota and Memphis next week. The regular season starts on October 31st when the pacers host the Washington Wizards.
