Elsewhere, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish put forth a valiant effort as they topped the UCLA Bruins by a score of 20-6.
The Irish scored 17 third quarter points in the third quarter and the defense shutout the Bruins offense the entire second half to secure the win.
With the victory, the Irish improve to 1-5 overall.
