Colts Prep For Monday Night Matchup Against Jags

Last updated on Thursday, October 18, 2007

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Indianapolis Colts will be back at practice today as they begin preparing for Monday night’s game with the Jaguars in Jacksonville.

The Colts are coming off their bye week and are 5-and-0 while the Jags are a game behind in the AFC South at 4-and-1 and have won their last four games.

The Colts rested several injured players two Sunday's ago when they played Tampa Bay in the hope that those players would be healthy for Monday night's divisional showdown.

Head Coach Tony Dungy said that he expects all of the injured players, including starters Marvin Harrison, Joseph Addai, Bob Sanders and Freddy Keiaho, to be available against the Jags.

The Colts will spend part of this week's prep time going over last December's 44-17 pounding at the hands of the Jaguars in Jacksonville. The Colts allowed a franchise-record 375 rushing yards to the Jags in what was the low point of their Super Bowl-winning season. Maurice Jones-Drew ran for 161 yards and added a 93-yard kickoff return while Fred Taylor had 133 yards on the ground.

Despite the beatdown, last December's game was an anomaly in the series. The Colts have won nine of their twelve previous games against Jacksonville.
