(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Indianapolis Colts linebacker Rob Morris was scheduled to undergo knee surgery on Tuesday and is expected to miss the remainder of the season.
The Colts' first-round draft choice in 2000 made 13 tackles three games this season. He injured his knee in Sunday's win over the Denver Broncos and had to be taken off the field on a cart.
The Colts' 38-20 win over the Broncos gave them a 4-and-0 start for the third-consecutive season. The horseshoes return to the practice field today as they get ready for this Sunday's game with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at the RCA Dome.
Five other colts were dinged in last weekend's win and Head Coach Tony Dungy should have more information on their availability today.
Tight end Ben Utecht suffered a concussion and Team President Bill Polian said on his radio show Monday night that he is doubtful for the Tampa Bay game.
Wide receiver Marvin Harrison, running back Joseph Addai and safety Bob Sanders also left the Denver game early with injuries and did not return. Kick returner TJ Rushing suffered a hamstring injury against the Broncos but returned to the game.
