Painter Signs 2-Year Deal With Boilermakers

(WEST LAFAYETTE, IN) - Purdue University has extended the contract of men’s basketball coach Matt Painter.

The two-year deal will keep Painter in West Lafayette through the 2012-2013 season. Financial terms of the extension were not disclosed.

Painter is 31-and-31 in two seasons as head coach of the Boilermakers.

Purdue improved to 22-and-12 last season, making it to the second round of the NCAA Tournament before falling to eventual national champion Florida.
