(MADISON, IN) - Dave Villwock won Sunday’s “Thunder on the Ohio” unlimited hydroplane race.
Villwock piloted Miss Ellstrom Elam Plus to the victory, averaging 140.2 miles per hour in the final heat. It was his tenth win in the last twelve thunder races.
The day was marked by three boats flipping in three consecutive preliminary heats.
None of the drivers were seriously injured with two racing later in the day.
