Doss Leaving Colts

Last updated on Thursday, April 5, 2007

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Indianapolis Colts have lost another player to free agency.

Safety Mike Doss signed a one-year, $1-million dollar contract with the Minnesota Vikings on Wednesday. Doss was the Colts' second-round pick in the 2003 NFL draft.

In his four seasons with the Colts, the former Ohio State star played in 46 games, 44 as a starter. Doss missed the final ten games of the 2006 regular season and all of the postseason after tearing the ACL in his left knee in October.

The 26-year-old is the sixth member of the Colts' Super Bowl-winning team to leave this offseason. Unrestricted free agents Cato June, Nick Harper and Dominic Rhodes signed with Tampa Bay, Tennessee and Oakland, respectively.

Wide receiver Brandon Stokley and defensive tackle Montae Reagor had their contracts terminated on March 1st. Stokley has since signed with Denver while Reagor signed with Philadelphia.
