Funeral For NHRA Driver To Be Held Today

(UNDATED) -Funeral services for NHRA driver Eric Medlen are scheduled for this morning in Brownsburg.

Medlen died Friday of a head injury suffered in a testing crash last Monday in Gainesville, Florida.

Medlen spent three seasons driving a funny car for John Force Racing and moved to Brownsburg when the team opened a shop there.

In other racing news, Indy Pro Series driver Pablo Perez will undergo surgery today at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

Perez was injured in a multi-car crash during a race Saturday at Homestead-Miami Speedway. He was transferred to Methodist on Tuesday after undergoing three operations on his feet and ankles in Florida.
