Friday evening, the Mitchell Bluejackets fell to Linton-Stockton to a score of 64 to 56 at the Paoli Class 2A, Sectional 46.
Throughout the entirety of the match, the score between the two teams was close. At the end of the first quarter Linton-Stockton led the way with an 18 to 10 lead. Mitchell pushed but were still behind by a two shot margin at the half with a score of 31 to 27.
Pushing ahead in the third quarter, the Bluejackets led by a single point with a score of 37 to 36. Yet when the last second ticked off the clock, Linton-Stockton went home with a 64 to 56 victory.
Leading in scoring for the Bluejackets was Zack Kern with 19 points, Joel Smith with 13 points, Dallas Williams with 12 points and Kevin Martin took home 10 points. Leading in scoring for Linton-Stockton was Caleb Fisher with 23 points, Josh Miller and Dylan Hardesty with 10 points each and Daniel Allen scored 7 points.
