Daniels Wins "Public Official Of The Year" Award
(INDIANAPOLIS) - Big kudos have come in for Governor Mitch Daniels.
Governing magazine released their list of public officials of the year today, and the governor selected was Daniels.
Previous governors who have won this award have include Republicans Haley Barbour of Mississippi in 2006 and Mike Huckabee of Arkansas in 2005, and Democrats Mark Warner of Virginia in 2004 and Howard Dean of Vermont in 2002.
Governing magazine cited Daniels' infrastructure and health care legislation, and his management of the state budget as reasoning for the award.
