Indiana Immigration Bill May Miss Deadline
(INDIANAPOLIS) - A bill to crack down on companies that hire illegal immigrants appears to be in limbo as it nears Friday’s deadline for the legislative session to end.
Senate leaders want a joint House-Senate conference committee to work out a compromise between the House and Senate versions of the bill.
Representative Scott Pelath says the Senate should simply agree with the House version of the bill rather than try to strike a new compromise.
