(STATEHOUSE) - Governor Daniels has signed a measure into law that would make it necessary for those caught without auto insurance to prove in the future that they are now insured.
The new law will become effective July 1 and allow authorities to randomly send letters to those caught in the past without insurance.
If drivers can't prove they are now insured, their licenses will be suspended.
