Chinese Delegation Visit Ballard's Indy Office

(INDIANAPOLIS) - An 18-member Chinese delegation visiting the U.S. stopped by Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard’s office to learn about performance measurement and budgeting reforms.
The group includes the deputy auditor general of the Chinese government and representatives from several ministries.
The mayor said the delegation has been traveling around the country studying government policies in Oregon, Kansas City and Baltimore as well as the Federal Office of Management and Budget.
The delegation presented the mayor with a gold plate commemorating the Beijing Olympics. The mayor presented each member with a gift from the Indy 500.
