Bayh Asks For Veterans Benefits Boost

(WASHINGTON, D.C.) - Indiana Senator Evan Bayh has written a letter to Senate leaders asking for an increase in funding for the Veterans Benefits Administration.
Bayh says the additional funding is needed to address the growing backlog of claims filed by the nation's veterans.
The Indianapolis regional office of the VBA currently has more than 8,000 compensation claims pending.
