Four Dems Running For Carson's Seat

(INDIANAPOLIS) - Democrats now have a four-way race for Julia Carson’s old congressional seat.
Methodist Hospital Chaplain Frances Williams will run against Carson's grandson Andre in the primary. She had planned to challenge him in the caucus which nominated Carson for next month's special election, but missed the filing deadline.
Indianapolis State Representatives David Orentlicher and Carolene Mays are running too. So far, engineer Larry Shouse is the only Republican candidate, but Indianapolis Representative Jon Elrod, the GOP nominee in the special election, is expected to run.
Candidates in both parties have until February 22 to file.
